Nursing

Presentation

Nursing – which is understood as the art and science of the health care - is situated in the context of health professions. As such, nursing has stood out in the health scenario through its daily practice. It deals with human beings´ needs with emphasis on actions that promote health and prevent diseases, actions that may contribute to health treatment and recovery, to the rehabilitation process and also, actions that enable people to perform self-care.

Labor market

Professional practices may be developed in different scenarios, such as general and specialized hospitals, basic health units, family health units, rehabilitation centers, specialized clinics, long-term stay institutions, epidemiological surveillance, schools, kindergartens, companies, home care. Also, professionals may dedicate themselves to research and human resources training in nursing.

Admission Options

Sisu - Students who are interested in applying for a place at UFTM must necessarily sign up and attend the tests related to the National Examination of High School Education – Enem. 

Transfer students - Intended for UFTM students who are attending related majors, as well as for students from other national or foreign higher education institutions who wish to transfer to the same major or to related majors.

Diploma holders – Intended for candidates who have already completed a higher education major and who are willing to attend a new undergraduate major at UFTM.

Readmission – Intended for students who are not enrolled anymore in any undergraduate major at UFTM but wish to return to their studies.
